Telephone problems, Wednesday 26th October early evening

We apologise to anyone trying to telephone the Surgery between 16:30 and 17:00 on Wednesday 26th October.

Our telephone system developed a fault and our supplier helped to restore service after 30 minutes of disruption - We were still able to take calls during the disruption, but we do know that some callers had to make return calls due to getting cut off. Once again, our apologies if you were inconvienenced.

At 07:00 this morning, Thursday 27th October, Our telephone company replaced a number of parts and performed a full system reboot and test, pronouncing all systems were fully working.

We have now been using our new computer system for about a week and a half and I'm pleased to say that with each day it's getting easier to use as we become familiar with the changes and new screens.

We have however not quite managed to scan and add on all our 1000+ items from our Dispensary stock (this cannot be done before the computer system goes live) and we have some slight delays dispensing items that we haven't yet managed to enter into the database. Our apologies if you are one of the small number of patients who are experiencing a delay in receiving your medication. We hope to have the scanning work and backlog issue fully resolved as quickly as possible.

Our migration from Vision to SystmOne will allow us to offer increased flexibility and functionality for both clinicians, surgery staff and patients.

Please keep watching this Blog for details of changes to follow, such as txt reminders, on-line appointment booking, once we have gained experience and the dust has settled.
